Adventures in Sewing

Yes I SEW!!! I am 24, I sew, and I am pretty darn proud of this fact. I understand (as my husband states regularly) that this is presumed as a "Old ladies" activity. This is a new day in age and we young moms need to take a few lessons from those old ladies. Sewing for me is so relaxing (if you take out the screaming at my machine and ordering it to do my bidding, shredding a piece of fabric down to mere fragments of its former self  for simply not doing what i want it to do and hiding in my sewing corner till the wee hours of the morning to finish a project snapping at anyone that comes with-in a 3 foot radius of me). I love the reward of seeing how over joyed my children get when they are handed that creation they knew was for them and begged time and time again to have knowing it wasn't done yet. Watching my son Brian take his new creation to his room and throwing it around his room, bashing it against his furniture, stepping on it, chewing on it, sitting (sometimes stomping) on it, till eventually I hear the mommy call. You know that call, its the one that sounds like "MooooooOOOOOM" with a hint of  "uh oh" attached to it. That is the exact moment i realize that creation that i slaved for hours if not days on has been ruined. Oh yes, I love sewing, but right now im not exactly sure why :/ ..... deep thought is needed on this issue. Will get back to you with details.
